The BIM – Advanced Architecture course emphasizes the construction and design stage outputs. It begins with setting up a shared coordinates system, configuring Revit parameters, and organizing the browser with object styles, filters, and view templates. Participants will gain proficiency in understanding Revit families, creating various family types (generic table, annotation, structural footing/column), and performing site modeling and room creation.
The course also delves into documentation, covering Revit schedules, 5D BIM, BIM collaboration through Revit worksharing, and revision management. Assessments include setting up shared coordinates for multiple project files, modeling a six-story residential building with custom-built families, adding and assigning shared parameters, creating parameter-driven tags, generating schedules for various elements, and preparing detailed construction plans using the BIM model.
